admission policy
Every Child Can Learn
**Admission Policy:**
Dreamers Academy welcomes students starting from 1 year of age, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, social background, or disability. Admissions testing is conducted for students in Pre-K and higher.
**Registration Process:**
- The Admission Office manages all registrations.
- Registrations can be submitted from birth but not before a child is born. Due to limited spots, parents are encouraged to contact the school soon after their child's birth.
- Parents receive information about the school’s values, goals, and structure, which can also be found on the school website.
- Parents with confirmed spots visit the school to meet the Headmistress, tour the facility, and complete registration forms.
- A confirmed registration requires a payment of GHC 250 per child, plus a registration fee of GHC 2500.
- Those on the waitlist follow a similar process with a fee of GHC 100.
- Children joining Reception classes must turn four by September, and class sizes are limited.
- For entry at other grade levels, a Waiting List form must be completed along with the registration fee.
- To confirm a place, parents must complete acceptance forms and submit a deposit.
- The first term’s fees are due by March of the entry year.
- Priority is given to siblings of current students.
- Comprehensive records are maintained for each child’s admission details.
**Inclusivity and Special Educational Needs:**
- Dreamers Academy is committed to inclusivity and offers support for students with special educational needs.
- Parents must disclose any relevant health or developmental information about their child.
- The school reserves the right to withdraw an offer if necessary information is not disclosed.
- Support is provided as long as the school can meet the child’s needs and it remains beneficial for the student.
**English as an Additional Language (EAL):**
- EAL support is seamlessly integrated into lessons without removing students from class.
- A variety of strategies are used to promote English language acquisition, tailored to each student’s age and abilities.
This policy is reviewed annually to ensure it remains current and effective.
